What is the Access Technology CIG?

Access Technology is a special interest group within the CAPED organization.

Its purpose is:

To facilitate the exchange of information among personnel providing assistive technology and alternate media services for students with disabilities.

To encourage coordination of assistive technology and alternate media efforts among all departments offering programs or services to persons with disabilities.

Over the past few years, we have been meeting at the CAPED conference in the Fall and at CSUN's Technology and Persons with Disabilities conference in Los Angeles. Our members are community college faculty, directors and classified staff, as well as members from the 4-year institutions. We welcome all the new folks working with assistive technology and alternate media and invite them to join us.
