PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS
There are several options to travel from Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose International Airports to the Hilton San Jose. Please see below for available options.
PLEASE NOTE: We are providing information about public transportation and taxis for your convenience. We are not responsible for any changes to schedules. Please also use caution if using the public transportation late at night.

TAXI CAB
Prices listed below are averages. Please note, prices will vary based on traffic conditions. Share the cost of the ride, If you are able to book your shuttle with other passengers the price will be a base price plus approximately $10 per additional person.
From San Jose Airport
Approximately $35 - $75 to Hilton San Jose ($75 is for an exclusive van)

LIGHT RAIL FROM THE SANJOSE AIRPORT
***Outside the terminal you will need to catch Bus #10- METRO LIGHT RAIL. You then take about a 10 minute bus ride to the Metro/ Airport Light Rail Station (across the street from where the bus stop is). Once at the Light Rail Station you will need to buy a ticket (approx $2 per passenger).
You need to catch a SOUTH bound train and the Hilton San Jose is at the Convention Center Stop on the Light Rail.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FROM SAN FRANCISCO AIRPORT
If you choose to take public transportation from the San Francisco Airport to Hilton San Jose, you will need to take a shuttle to a BART train, take BART to a Caltrain and then transfer to the Light Rail System. The cost is approximately $12.00 per person. Tickets are purchased at the stations, but please have cash available to use the automatic ticket machines. Not all stations have staffed ticket booth, and ticket booth hours of operation vary. Prices are subject to change.

Schedules of Operations
Below are the hours of operation for BART, Caltrain and Light Rail. Please check schedules when determining what type of transportation to take. All times and schedules are subject to change

BART
Weekdays (4:00 am - Midnight)
Saturday (6:00 am - Midnight)
Sunday (8:00 am - Midnight)

Caltrain
Weekdays (5:00am - Midnight)
Weekends (8:00am - Midnight)

Light Rail System
Light Rail operates on 15, 30 and 60 minute frequencies depending on time of day from 4:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. on the Alum Rock-Santa Teresa Line and 5 a.m. to 12 midnight on the Mountain View-Winchester Line.

Step 1 - BART
The SFO BART Station is located on the Departures/Ticketing Level of the International Terminal (Boarding Area G side). BART is easily accessed from any terminal by riding SFO's AirTrain to the Garage G/BART Station stop. AirTrain stations are located in all terminals, terminal garages and the BART Station, as well as the Rental Car Center. See the AirTrain System Map for details.
Take the BART Train to the Millbrae Caltrain Station (this is approximately a 10-15 minute trip and will cost approximately $4.00 per person. You may check the BART schedule here: http://www.bart.gov/  Use “Quick Planner” tab to plan your trip.

Step 2 - CONNECT TO THE CALTRAIN FROM BART
BART connects SFO to the Caltrain rail system at the Millbrae Station. At the Millbrae station transfer from BART to Caltrain. You need to catch a SOUTH bound train. You will take the train to the San Jose Diridon Station. Here you will be able to transfer to the Light Rail Train (or during the weekday connect to DASH the free Downtown Area Shuttle).

The train fair will be approximately $6.00 per person

Step 3 - CONNECT TO LIGHT RAIL FROM CALTRAIN
At the San Jose Diridon Caltrain station, transfer to the Light Rail Station. Take the NORTH BOUND Light Rail Train, Mt. View-Winchester Line. Take this train to Hilton San Jose at the Convention Center Stop.

The Light Rail cost will be approximately $2.00 per person

Alternate Step 3 – CONNECT TO DASH FROM CALTRAIN
During the weekdays only, you can ride DASH between the hours of 6:17 am and 7:00 pm. DASH is a FREE Downtown Area Shuttle. Take DASH to Hilton San Jose at the Convention Center Stop.

AMTRAK OR CALTRAIN TO SAN JOSE  
If you choose to travel by train, Amtrak and Caltrain stop at the San Jose Diridon Transit Center. From Diridon Transit Center you have two options:

1) During the weekdays only between 6:17 am and 7:00 pm you can catch DASH (Downtown Area Shuttle). DASH is a FREE shuttle service. Take DASH to Hilton San Jose at the Convention Center Stop.

2) After DASH hours take the Light Rail (follow step 3 above CONNECT TO LAIGHTRAIL FROM CALTRAIN)
