CAREER TRANSITION EMPLOYMENT CIG
What is the Career Development CIG?
Career Employment Transition is a special interest group within the CAPED organization.
Its purpose is:
- To facilitate the exchange of information among personnel providing career development and job search assistance for students with disabilities.
- To encourage coordination of career development efforts for persons with disabilities among the Career centers and Disability Services centers.
Over the past few years, we have been meeting at the CAPED conference in the fall and at the Career Development & Employment Transition Training conference (Workability programs) in the spring. Our members are community college and University faculty, directors and classified staff, as well as Department of Rehabilitation counselors. We welcome all interested in career development for people with disabilities to join us.
